Our Top Four White Paint Picks

So here’s a question…white is just white, right?

Our answer:  Not if you’re choosing the perfect white paint color for your interior or exterior project. If you’ve ever been through the process, you know that the spectrum of white paint colors is seemingly endless, making the decision sometimes harder than you could have thought possible.

Our Grand Colonial living room is painted in SW 9589 Limewash, which is the perfect neutral white to cover traditionally trimmed walls and display colorful, modern pops of art.

Just like any color on the spectrum, there are varying shades and temperatures of white, which is important to consider when determining the tone of a designed space and how it will read with other paint colors and fabrics. It also affects the way you feel while in your space!

SW Marshmallow 7001 provides the creamiest environment for our modern Dogwood Court living room. With just a smidge of warmth to the tone, it plays perfectly with the abundance of natural light this room has to offer.

Hiring an interior designer adds an intangible value to the design process because there are endless choices homeowners are called upon to make during a renovation or build. A design expert will narrow choices drastically, and this alone is worth the investment. One of many powers a designer possesses is paint color consultation, and most designers have their rolodex of top choices in the bag already.

modern farmhouse style, white kitchen SW Westhighland White 7566, perfect white for kitchen interior design

SW Westhighland White 7566 drenches this modern farmhouse kitchen’s walls in our River Ranch project. We used SW White Dove for the cabinets; coming in a bit “cool” on the temperature scale, it has a soothing effect on the senses.

If you’re searching or sampling through a long list of whites, having a good starting point for color swatches with these four helps narrow down decision-making considerably! At CMD, our paint preferences are no secret and we’d like to share our top four go-tos for white walls: SW Limewash, SW Marshmallow, SW Westhighland White, and SW White Dove. These four colors are our most often-used in our design process and therefore our top picks!
