Traditional Farmhouse
Being my personal home, it is dear to my heart - it was the project that launched my design career! This is our family farmhouse, blending a centuries-old look reminiscent of my grandmother’s home with a current, simplistic feel achieved the “livable luxury” I envisioned.
Reclaimed from a historic Bartlesville hotel, the imperfections of the pine-planked floor invite the inevitable muddy paws and indoor bike rides that county living bring.
While most furnishings are collected antiques, we utilized a few current pieces to meet modern needs. A contained space for blankets, the tv, and my children’s toys represents an intentional sedation from material and digital clutter.
A soft and unserious blend of grit and luxury.
Extending the hardwood flooring into the un-tiled primary bath infused a primitive feel complete with an antique vanity and mirror.
