Eastside Traditional
These gracious hosts required no less than a border-line commercial kitchen with all the character of a traditional design. We achieved that essential balance by infusing a 1920’s flair reminiscent of historic Bartlesville into this all-white kitchen. The subtly riotous effect invites their many guests to linger and enjoy every detail of a kitchen designed with their comfort in mind.
The kitchen is full of surprises that facilitate a host’s duties from the luxurious 6ft galley sink in the island to the hidden water faucet in the coffee cabinet – we went all out with functional fixtures!
Every massive kitchen needs a matching pantry! We echoed the rustic elements of leather and brass in these raw, textured double doors. The rich interior draws an unexpected contrast with its bright, organic exterior.
We knew that no prolific host can be without a wine cellar. The problem was where to put it needed an equally creative and luxurious solution! This under-the-stairs area is much better served housing a curated collection and showing off the beautiful bottles than its previous over-looked state.
To say that this mudroom facilitates constant traffic is an understatement. Our client required contained, stress-free storage that simplified switching vehicles and bags quickly. This called for outlining the space with deep cabinets ready to control the inevitable chaos of a drop-zone. We incorporated this antique church pew and a well-placed textile to add depth and much-needed familiarity to the transitional space…not to mention a little Oklahoma charm!
A luxurious shower room was a must-have for my clients. They needed a mundane necessity transformed into a tranquil retreat. We delivered this calm palette complete with floor to ceiling tile. Our vision was modern tidiness softened with traditional fixtures. Due to the sheer volume of tile going into a small space, deciding on a pattern was extremely important. We went with a blended gray and white structure to ease the transition from natural to accent lighting, extending that spa-like ambiance.
