Downtown Charm

Rekindling the timeless character of historical homes is a rare but savored opportunity in Bartlesville. Built in 1928, this home decorates downtown Bartlesville’s most desirable street. The original doors, fittings, and floors are to die for!

The original basket-weave tile inspired the Parisian glamour of this delightful room. A little 20’s glamour was absolutely necessary - right down to the toile. True to the Parisian spirit, we curated a subtle palette for those pieces that speak for themselves - starting with retiling the shower and walls.

Ice glass sconces offered a new take on other typical yet overbearing possibilities. By choosing less serious fittings, the true beauty of each piece can be maximized. A surprisingly functional addition, the console sink has just enough room for the necessities but too little for clutter. We love how original the hung mirror looks…and the peek into the chic shower.

Blending intrigue and freshness into one unique personality is the Parisian way. The demure colors promise alluring warmth by night and bright clarity by day. A successful blend extends the life of the space – too many dramatic, period-specific details tire out the design. Casual luxury, reflective, but not prescriptive of the house’s age was exactly what our client envisioned.
